Here are real women's stories that inspire me to not let osteoporosis slow me
down. I will feature a new Bone Diva who I hope will encourage you
to make the promise for better bone health, like we did.

Hired as a Public Service Officer by the Dallas Police Department back in 1974 when women were a novelty in a "man's job," Judy ended up serving 27 years before retiring in 2001.
Since then she has remained physically active, herding her 700-pound Gold Wing Motorcycle all over
the country as she travels from state to state with her husband.
When she was diagnosed with osteoporosis, she was a textbook case- Caucasian, small
framed, and had a family history of osteoporosis. Her doctor prescribed treatment and since then, she has been taking her medication, along with calcium supplements regularly.
With her health under control, Judy has been able to stay on the move. She and her
husband recently returned from an 18-state, 6,700 mile motorcycle tour, and since
2001, they have put 150,000 miles on their motorcycles. They've been to 40 states,
and made the trip from Texas to Canada twice.
