To make my workouts more fun, I started asking my friends to join me. It can be so much more motivating to work out with someone whose company you enjoy—and you get the added bonus of spending quality time with a friend while doing something healthy for your bones.
I'm also thankful that spring is here with warmer weather, allowing me to spend more time outside and be more active. I'm always looking out for new ways to improve my health—and my friends' health too. In addition to taking the time to be active with my friends, we also try to eat healthier together. Instead of going for the quick and easy choices, we try to think about the ingredients we put into our body and make smarter decisions.

When it comes to your bones, diet is incredibly important. It is so easy to overlook good nutrition, but it really does matter. I make sure to get enough Calcium and Vitamin D each day—I look for dark leafy greens and dairy products. I also look for the "fortified with Vitamin D" label on items like cereal and milk.
I would love to hear what foods you prepare to stay active and healthy. Please share with me—and with all of us—on the Bone Divas page. Let's all be inspirations for each other.
