While at the show, I had the opportunity to participate in a seminar, where the topic was the relationship between gardening and bone health, specifically related to gardening as a weight-bearing exercise, which may lead to strong bones. I was able to share my passion for gardening, and how excited I was to learn that gardening is one of the best exercises you can do to keep your bones strong.
As I walked around the exhibit floor, I compared notes with fellow gardeners and picked up some great tips that I can't wait to try out at home. Many of the tips extend beyond gardening and apply to all types of exercise—like making sure to hydrate often and varying your routine to work muscles from your whole body.
