When I look back to that first entry and those first few months, I am reminded of how far I've come in my journey towards bone health. What a perfect way to reflect and rededicate myself to this important issue that affects so many women's lives.
From becoming an empty-nester and celebrating the birth of my third grandchild, to rallying with the women of Congress and the Red Hat Society, May marks two years that have been filled with excitement and personal inspiration. I look forward to continuing this journey with you in the years to come.
May is also Osteoporosis Awareness Month (http://www.nof.org/)—
another reason I'm feeling particularly inspired about promoting bone health. If we could each take the initiative this month to talk to someone new—a friend, family member, or coworker—about how to maintain strong bones, we can really make a difference.

When I think back over the years to all the people I've met, it is those personal stories that resonate the most and that have the potential to change our lives. We each have the ability to educate and empower one another through our experiences.
Why not forward this journal to the women in your life? Or pass along the Bone Health Tips or the Questions to Ask Your Doctor. Your words and actions can help keep those you care about be healthy and strong.
Stay well,

Look for Sally's next journal entry, as well as other information on managing postmenopausal osteoporosis. Talk to your doctor about how to manage your bone health, including diet, exercise, and treatment options.
