Along the way, I continue to be amazed at the warm receptions I receive, and the amazing stories I hear from all of you. I've come away from these events rejuvenated in my mission to raise awareness about bone health, and especially recommitted to educating the more than 8 million women who have been diagnosed with bone loss who are not taking their medication.
In September, I had an opportunity to speak at the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) Meeting in San Diego, CA. During my speech, I was able to share my personal osteoporosis story and remind the Family Physicians in attendance to continue to talk with their female patients about the risks of osteoporosis. This was an exciting opportunity for me as my doctor is a Family Physician. I talked

about our relationship and how he was there to provide support and guidance over the years.

Did you know, World Osteoporosis Day was October 20th? I encourage each of you to tell a friend who may be at risk for osteoporosis to speak with their doctor.
